Words cannot express.....

...how unbelievable this accident is. For those of you who don't know who Steven Curtis Chapman is, he is an amazing singer/song writer who has put words to so many of the things I have already felt but didn't have the words to express. His daughter, was instrumental in getting their family to adopt their first little girl from China (Shaohannah) and they have since started an amazing ministry called Shaohannah's Hope that has enabled over 1700 families overcome some of the financial barriers in adopting orphans from all over the world. We are one of those incredibly thankful families. He now has adopted three girls from China and just last night his youngest (little 5 year old Maria Sue) died in an accident at home. She was stuck by a car that was backing out of their driveway. Our hearts go out to this family and for the boy that was driving the car. We cannot imagine how incredibly painful this must be for everyone.

I got this off the Chapman's web site:

The Chapman family is so grateful for the incredible outpouring of love and support at this difficult time. If you would like to express your condolences you can:

By mail, send to PO Box 150156 Nashville, TN 37215.

In lieu of flowers, the Chapmans request any gifts be directed to Shaohannah’s Hope.

Also, due to tragedy of Wednesday, Steven will not appear at the May 24th show, Artist appearing in his absence to be announced shortly.

Below is a very moving video that was taken not too long ago of Steven and his daughter Maria Sue:
